I hope you enjoy your visit to my personal web site. The Egyptian theme is a reminder of the Baine family's American roots in the Little Egypt area of Cairo, Illinois. From the fertile plains at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers sprung several lines of Baines who are now spread around the south, mid-west, and western United States.

I have recently participated in a Bain/Baine/Bayne DNA Project with Family Tree DNA. I did the 37-marker Y-DNA test and the MtDNA test as well, which will confirm descent from my direct male and direct female lines. Hopefully this will help us find more relatives and trace the Baine line, in particular, further back in history. More ...
