I hope you enjoy your visit to my personal web site. The Egyptian theme is a reminder of the Baine family's American roots in the Little Egypt area of Cairo, Illinois. From the fertile plains at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers sprung several lines of Baines who are now spread around the south, mid-west, and western United States.

An ancestral estate of ours is for sale in Virginia. Cobb's Hall, in Northumberland Co., Virginia, was the original home site of Colonel Richard Lee. His son, and our ancestor, Charles Lee inherited the estate and his son built the second mansion on the site. More ...
