This is truly a
grassroots campaign, and we are always looking
for active volunteers.
At this early stage in
the campaign, we are primarily
looking for volunteers to help
with fundraising and petitions.
As the campaign progresses,
however, there will definitely be
more activity and a need for more
volunteers.
FUNDRAISING
Fundraising is a key element to
running a successful campaign.
Campaigns can be quite expensive.
We need funds to pay qualifying
fees, to purchase signs, to send
out flyers, to print brochures,
administrative costs, etc.
You can help by spreading the word
about our campaign and directing
people to our site. Please
do not accept any direct
contributions from anyone.
Instead, please direct potential
donors to the "Contribute" section
of this site and ask that they
donate money for the campaign
through the site via credit card
or by mailing a check to the
address provided. Any amount
under $500 per person is
acceptable by law, and very
appreciated by Tom and the
campaign. The more funds we
have, the better positioned we
will be to win the election.
We have sound ideas but we need an
effective "war chest" to
realize
them. Any assistance on this
front will be most appreciated!
PETITIONS
Petition signing is very
important to us. We need 822
valid petitions signed by
voters in District 6 to avoid
paying the expensive qualifying
fee. We believe that money
would be best utilized for other
campaign costs. Our goal is
to acquire 1,000 signed petitions in
the event some are disqualified
for whatever reasons.

that we can get as many valid

have until June 2010 to have them
all in, but it takes time to
collect and validate all of the
petitions, so the sooner we can
